I have high hopes for this game. I pray every night to the video game gods and beg that Snowblind delivers a winner.

This must be on the easiest difficulty because he barely got hit or hurt. Also, at 15:23 What the heck was that orc doing just standing there letting the ranger shoot him lol. Well everything looks good except for the AI which looked pretty dumb and easy to kill.

Hopefully when the player is outside and or in other places they'll be a-little more color in the game besides just all I've seen so far is the very-bland browns!!

tLotR Universe has soo MUCH potential... and this is only the tip of the iceberg !
Just imagine tLotR in the style of the Mass Effect or RTS with RPG elements... the possibilities are endless !!!

ps: We need another The Battle for Middle Earth game !!!

Yeah right, must be because it sucks so hard that they won so many game awards, including game of the year, see thats your opinion and when i say ES is superior is NOT JUST MY opinion...not judging your personal taste but learn to read before criticise.

There are only three great LOTR games: The Battle for Middle Earth I and II, and the Third Age.

This game doesn't look like it will live up to be a fourth, I mean it might be good, but not great by any means, the AI seems to be just as dumb as it was in the LOTR console games that precede it, and the leveling idea is something that goes hand in hand with LOTR but should've been done ages ago and by a dev team that seems more interested in Tolkien's universe. I really bet that an amazing LOTR game as good as DA:O or potentially even better (considering LOTR is original) could be made if they stop trying to make "mainstream" LOTR games.

This looks very half assed. Funny how some of the greatest pieces of literature ever written could be turned into 3 of the best movies ever, but the games spawned from it are only sub-standard...

@livefantasy7 I agree with u,all mithology we all love and praise are indeed the Tolkiens legacy, and i'm a BIG fan of LOTR both on books and movie, but when it comes to videogames Elder Scrools rules and this is not just my personal opinion...

Looks good. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Day one buy on the PC for me. Unless the pc version stinks though, which will mean I'm skipping this game altogether. I still haven't seen any PC demos.

@psycho75 LOTR was first buddy, it would be Skyrim being to close to this. If it weren't for LOTR there would be no Dragon age or Skyrim!

I liked the return of the king game and two towers, maybe cause I'm a fanboy. This is pretty much the same footage they've already shown but with a different character in another video for this game. So I don't know about this one, I'd definitely would have to see a good review before buying this.

Combat looks too easy, more like button bashing than actual skill.
"We actually reward the player for keeping their rhythm up"-he says (about 15 seconds before the 12 minute mark) , so basically the more you mindlessly button bash the more the game rewards you. Ridiculous.

They all might as well give it up! It would seem that every LOTR game is destined to fail. This game both looks dated and boring. Next...

@WitteKraai there were the istari which gandalf and saruman were a members in, which also consisted of brown radagast and the blue wizards, but if you've read the silmarilion it says that they are all mayar (lesser gods). there were some great elves that were able to do a little magic to some capacity like galadriel, but this was through magical artifacts.
there are also some tales about elves who could forsake the future, but this is a completely different thing in tolkien's world

I sure hope these "Omg looks just like Dragon Age!!1" Comments aren't complaints. Considering basically everything in DA:Origins is an altered version of something BioWare took from Lord of the Rings. This game looks fantastic. I have a few concerns though. It doesn't look like the level up and skill progression are too in depth. And after reading a couple forums it seems like the campaign will only be around 13 hours long. Not sure if it's true or not, but if so it is kind of disappointing. Also... NEED SPECIFIC RELEASE DATE :@
