I hope for your sake that you would not be suggesting the same thing to a real person with big bosoms. That would be rude.

That said, it's still alright to be "disturbed" by big bosoms - real or fictional - it's not like these are very common.

Oh dear... Anybody else feel like they're watching SCIV footage? "The Torture Chamber"=Phantasmagoria, Pyrrha=Sophitia. Let's be honest here. There's not much of an improvement from SCIV. Yes, I enjoyed SCIV, but I always thought it was a bit of a step back in many ways. I liked the character creation from III but in IV they stripped off a lot of it, improved the look, and tacked on special abilities.

The story mode desperately needs to be improved. Dear God, how do you go from battling eight characters with various interactive cutscenes to battling five short stages with short crappy cutscenes. Also, leave the guest characters at home. The only one that ever truly fit was Link and he was exclusive to Gamecube.

I'm gonna need a lot more convincing before I buy. If I see new characters that have esentialy the same move sets as their predecessors, I'm just gonna give up. I truly and whole-heartedly love the Soul Calibur series, but this just looks like a watered down carbon copy. Come on Namco-Bandai. I really hope the demo is like this simply due to the fact that the game is in, what, alpha stage?

Also, as a side note. Did anybody else notice that the final stage in the demo looks like Nightmare's scene from SCII? Or at least I think it was two... hmmm...

this game series is a cooler version of tekken

    Posted Jul 25, 2011 3:17 pm GMT

17 years later and Ivy's boobs and butt are still as firm as ever? Doesn't make sense... Needs more sag!!

That being said... after Super Street Fighter... MVC3... Mortal Kombat... I think the only other fighting game that would get me excited would be a new Killer Instinct... which sadly doesn't seem to anywhere on the horizon.

Used to love this series... but this really seems like more of the same.

To all the haters saying this game looks the same, get over it. If you love SC you should be here loving SC5 if your not an SC fan why are you here commenting. True SC fans will see the differences and we don't want to many, per-se. What fighting game you know changes completely ?

    @Hidden_Ace

I absolutely loved chronicles of the sword! I totally agree, that i felt I was investing so much more than usually because of the RPG elements. Soul Calibur 2 also had weapon master which similarly achieved this as well. Let's hope they implement this!

Ivy looks really good this time, bed material )

  • Hidden_Ace

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 6:26 pm GMT

I really want the chronicle of the sword to be back, it was that RPG sort of mode in SC3, really enjoyed the story and stuff in that, also made my custom characters feel more in the story in a way. Team battle was good in SC2, hopefully that will be back. More clothes and armour to customise the characters with would be nice, there was a decent amount in SC4, but more wont hurt.

I don't know. Soul Caliber use to be a great game now it seems like maybe 4 should have been the last one. The quest mode, online, and customization has to be awesome for this game to sale.

ivys legs and hips dont look as good this time around :/ all in all this game doesnt look like a huge improvement or all that different from SCIV, so im not too sure about this one..

To all the people who say they don't like the game and they won't buy it: I doubt it, you know sooner or later you'll be convinced to think otherwise.

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 12:30 pm GMT

They need to get Hwang in there and make Yung-Seong less of a joke. Put back team battles. That RPG thing from SC3 was kinda fun. Survivor mode! What fighting game doesn't have survivor mode? Get rid of item attributes. It stunts the creative process. I made my characters look how I wanted them to look but I was always at a disadvantage because of it.

Un-nerf Zasalamel!! He was a beast in SC3 and now he sucks like Yun-Seong!! Block his tricks, attack and you win!! That's not cool. Zas vs. Hilda is just not fun at all... Even his pimp smack does no damage!! What dummy thought of that!?? Bring back Olcadan!!!! And keep Dante, Kratos and all those other random bumbs the #@$! away from this game.

Namco Bandai is a greedy company that recently sued CPR and their game Witcher:AoK. I for one won't give Namco Bandai any money, because they're only here to do damage to the gaming industry.

it.....looks like SC4. i loved SC4, but im not too keen on paying 60 bucks for the same game with super combos. i feel like i only saw 2 new moves from ivy, even her grabs were the same.

I agree with all the negative comments. SC is freakin awesome but this needs work, looks the same as IV which was a step forward in some directions and backwards in other IMO. Hope it all comes together well SC was once my favorite fighting franchise

Critical finish was easy to see... Just break their soul (flash of red) and press the left bumper...

  • Darkkend

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 10:48 am GMT

They added new characters and all the older characters are senior citizens. Odd.

  • SmartGhost

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 10:35 am GMT

1&2 where amazing but then a new battle system came out in three and four cameout and the characters dont even look like themselfs...if namco wants to brings the series back and better then ever keep the orginal cast and just add-on...but i understand too i miss taki already

  • Teepo64

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 10:11 am GMT

Talking about aging gracefully. Reow Ivy! Seriously though, I'll miss Taki knowing she won't be back. I can't believe they replaced her with a blonde youngster. I just hope they bring back Yoshimitsu back. Well at least I hope they bring back his "fighting style".

Soul calibur 4 just needed a proper quest mode and more content.

  • Nathalmighty1

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 9:34 am GMT

Definitely need to add more content than the last game... I think the last game improved the graphics and thats it. Story mode was awful, new characters were dull and there wasnt even team battle. Hope they take time to make some good new additions. Lol they are talking about a side step being "new"... oh dear!

  • RitsukoEX

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 9:32 am GMT

Ivy was 32 in SoulCalibur IV. Now in SoulCalibur V she is 49.

  • utubee

    Posted Jul 24, 2011 9:29 am GMT

Did either of the people talking about the game play SCIV? Critical finish was done by breaking the other player's soul gauge gem, not breaking the armor off...They don't even know how the last game works and they are trying to pass off like SCV is so fresh and new when it just looks like SCIV rehashed with "new characters" that look like they control similarly to other characters from the Soul Calibur franchise. No thanks for me, I'll stick with past Soul Calibur games unless they do something to SCV that really blows me away.
